For Life Groups

Consider and choose one of these ways to love and serve people:(for Life Groups of 3-15 people)

Plan a work party at the Family Support Shelter or The Salvation Army to “spruce up” their
facility. Add some seasonal decorations and bring treats.

Participate (help with food and activities) in our quarterly family night at Evergreen Vista
Apartments. This is a relational ministry, giving your group a chance to meet and support some
people in need.

Pray for and help with practical needs of the families living in a specific unit (6 apartments) at
Evergreen Vista.

Pray for and help with practical needs of one of Westwood’s foster or adoptive families.

Work with our MOPS leadership to offer a MOPS program to the women at Evergreen Vista.

As a Life Group, get together on a Saturday morning and help City Gates Ministry. Organize the
vans that they use to distribute clothing to people in need. This could be an on-going outreach
for you (different people from your group each month) or just a one-time session. This kind of
activity is always good for group bonding and it helps someone else at the same time.

Plan a party or meaningful event (speaker/teacher) for the community women we are
mentoring. They do not have access to the kinds of fellowship we do. Alternatively, take it
upon yourselves to invite them to one of Westwood’s events (Christmas Dinner, Men’s event,
etc.)

If you are interested in getting more information on any of these (or other)  “give and take” activities,
you can contact: Kathy D., kdreisbach@westwoodbaptist.com.
