How is a Home Team different from other small groups?
Most small group ministries major in only two or three of the Five E's. Westwood's Home Teams take a holistic approach to growing fully-developing disciples. A Home Team is a basic expression of the church.
How are Home Teams formed?
A Home Team is formed by personal invitation. First, a core group is formed that includes a Leader, Assistant Leader and Host. The core group will in turn extend invitations to friends and others who have indicated interest.
How do I make my interest known?
We want to make it as simple as possible for you to join a Home Team. Complete the "Profile Questionnaire" page located at the top of this website in the menu bar, that's it! Your profile will be given to new Leaders as they prepare to form new Home Teams, and one of them will contact you. Additionally, you may contact the Leader of an existing group and inquire about joining.
How may I become a Leader or Host?
Please check the appropriate box in the Profile Questionnaire section. You will be contacted with the information you request. Note: A Home Team Leader or Assistant Leader must be a member of Westwood or become a member within three months of beginning the process. Hosts need not be members.
