We Welcome you to the Prayer Ministries website and trust you will find the help you need to pray more effectively for our church family members, ministries, community, nation and nations. Please explore the web links.

The goal of the Prayer Ministry Board is to build a House of Prayer mentality, providing and maintaining places to pray and undergirding every life, ministry and outreach effort with a constant stream of ongoing intercession. Please note our vision statement below.

We look for the fulfillment of this scripture: "Ask and it shall be given to you, seek, and you shall find, knock and it shall be opened to you.  For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks, finds, and to him who knocks it shall be opened."  Matthew 7:7, 8

Please look over the prayer opportunities and come experience what it means to pray Christ's heart with others to the "praise of His glory" at Westwood.

Scriptural Encouragement: "Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with Thanksgiving."
Colossians 4:2

Word for the Week of

August 1, 2010

Scripture: “Truly I say to you, all sins shall be forgiven the sons of men, & whatever blasphemies they utter; but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of eternal sin – because they were saying, ‘He has an unclean spirit.’ For whoever does the will of God, he is My brother & sister & mother.”
Mark 3:28-30 & 35

Meditation:  HOLY:  “holiness without which no man shall see God.” Sins against the Holy Spirit by believers include allowing an unrepentant evil heart or lifestyle (Eph. 4:30, 31) or quenching Him. (I Thess. 5:19)   We cannot pray aright without Him, or know God’s fullness. (Romans 8)

Prayer: Our hope, Lord, is in You! “You will not leave my soul in hell; neither allow Your Holy One to see corruption. You will make me to know the ways of life; I will be full of joy when I see Your face.” (Acts 2:27, 28)
AMEN

To facilitate prayer and supplication (Romans 8:26, 27) in order to undergird our motto of “knowing God through Jesus Christ and making Him known” and our vision: “to work together under the direction of the Holy Spirit and the Holy Scripture to produce fully developing disciples and a growing congregation passionately committed to loving God and loving people.”
